Senior Reservoir Engineer role for Subsurface team

Role Synopsis:

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our Subsurface Technical Team at SUMI. The successful candidate will play a key role in reservoir management, field development planning, and production optimization. This role requires strong expertise in reservoir engineering, data integration, and technical decision-making to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and field performance.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead reservoir performance analysis, production forecasting, and reserves evaluation to optimize field development. 
• Develop and manage reservoir simulation models to support technical and strategic decisions. 
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated reservoir management solutions. 
• Prepare technical reports and provide recommendations to stakeholders. 
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development.

Essential Education:

• Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.

Essential experience and job requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in reservoir engineering, field development, and production optimization within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation and petroleum engineering software (e.g., Eclipse, Nexus, CMG, or similar) 
• Strong knowledge of reservoir performance analysis, well testing, and production data interpretation. 
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and integrating geoscience and engineering data. 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills. 
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Azerbaijani.
