Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Administrator with a strong background in Fortinet and MikroTik to manage, maintain, and secure our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring network reliability, performance, and security, while also providing technical support and implementing new network technologies. 

Responsibilities:

Network Management and Operations:

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security using various tools, and proactively address any issues or alerts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity issues, including LAN, WAN, and wireless problems.
• Implement and manage network policies, VLANs, and IP address schemes.
• Perform regular firmware upgrades, patches, and preventative maintenance on all network devices.

Fortinet Expertise:

• Administer and manage FortiGate firewalls, including security policies, VPNs (SSL and IPsec), NAT, and user authentication.
• Configure and maintain Fortinet security features such as Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), antivirus, and web filtering.
• Utilize FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer for centralized management, monitoring, and reporting of Fortinet devices.
• Implement and manage FortiSwitch and FortiAP solutions for a unified network environment.

MikroTik Expertise:

• Configure and manage MikroTik RouterOS devices, including routing protocols, switching, and wireless configurations.
• Set up and maintain MikroTik VPN solutions, including L2TP/IPsec and PPTP.
• Implement traffic shaping, Quality of Service (QoS), and bandwidth management using MikroTik's features.
• Troubleshoot and optimize MikroTik wireless links (PTP, PtMP) and manage CAPsMAN configurations.

Security and Documentation:

• Enforce network security best practices to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configuration files, and change logs.
• Assist in disaster recovery planning and implementation for the network.

Support and Collaboration:

• Provide technical support to end-users and other IT staff for network-related issues.
• Collaborate with other IT teams on projects and cross-functional tasks.
• Stay up to date with emerging networking technologies and make recommendations for improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Proven experience as a Network Administrator, with hands-on experience in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting.
• Extensive experience with Fortinet products, particularly FortiGate firewalls.
• In-depth knowledge of MikroTik RouterOS and RouterBOARD hardware.
• Experience with VPN technologies, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
• Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark)
• Fortinet NSE (Network Security Expert) certifications (e.g., FCP - Network Security).
• MikroTik MTCNA (MikroTik Certified Network Associate) or other higher-level MikroTik certifications.
• Other industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or CCNA are a plus.
